Longbeach Apparel is a New Zealand-owned, leading apparel manufacturer with a global reach and strong reputation. Designed in New Zealand for over 40 years, they boast a range of in-house fashion brands, wholesale both nationally and internationally, and operate their own retail brand, Apt Collections. An opportunity has arisen within their design team for a passionate and imaginative Graphic Artist with a textile background to step into a key role and join their creative team.

As a creative powerhouse, you’ll utilise your graphic design expertise across print and textile design, while also supporting the sales and marketing teams with market knowledge and trend insights and assisting in photoshoots. You’ll take responsibility for all branding collateral, and packaging design, working alongside the Graphic/Social- Media Artist to create digital content and promotional material for the company’s brands, websites, and social media. Your fashion and textile design expertise will shine through in your designs and illustrations for textile prints and patterns. Staying on top of market trends, you’ll create visuals for the sales team and their customers that are both current and forward-thinking.

We’re looking for an industry-qualified graphic designer, ideally with a background or qualification in textile print design, and a strong creative flair paired with a passion for textile design and illustration. You’ll have several years of industry experience and be highly skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and the Adobe Creative Suite—ideally with CAD expertise as well. As part of an energetic and highly motivated team, you’ll need to bring drive, agility, and an openness to change. Your adaptability and ability to contribute across a variety of projects will be key in this dynamic environment. On a personal level, you’re creative, positive, and self-driven, with a genuine interest in textiles and apparel.
